Parents in Pennsylvania Demand Action After Student Allegedly Creates Deepfake Explicit Images of 50 Female Classmates

Parents are furious following reports that a student at Lancaster Country Day School supposedly produced deepfake pornographic images involving over 50 female students.

A recent report reveals that more than 50 female students have been targeted in a troubling incident involving a fellow student who utilized advanced technology to produce deceptive pornographic images of them.

An email dispatched to parents from the school indicated that the institution became aware of the images in November 2023 via an anonymous tip received through the school’s security application, “Safe 2 Say.”

The institution stated that they looked into the issue within their own framework but did not reach out to law enforcement or notify Child Protective Services. It would occur once more in May 2024.

A lawyer for a collective of parents whose children were affected by the event claims that the school did not take appropriate action regarding the matter. The company reported that every one of the 50 female students had one or more images created of them.

The school issued the given statement:

“The safety of our students is the most profound responsibility of our school. In response to the disturbing situation involving AI generated false images of some of our students, our school remains focused on supporting the members of our community who have been impacted. In addition, the school is conducting a thorough policy review for investigating incidents of student misconduct to strengthen our process and protocols in support of student wellbeing.

We are in regular communication with our community about this situation. We continue to cooperate with law enforcement as their official investigation is ongoing. At their request, so as not to interfere with the investigation, and consistent with our responsibility to act with sensitivity to the privacy of our students, we are refraining from discussing details of this matter publicly.”

A number of parents are demanding the resignation of school administrators over their management of the situation.
