ORLANDO, Fla. — A 47-year-old Orlando firefighter, identified as La Teef Williams, has been arrested for the second time in less than three years, now facing charges of stalking, witness tampering, and unlawful installation of a tracking device, according to the Cocoa Police Department (CPD).
Second Arrest and Alleged Stalking Behavior
Police say the arrest stems from a domestic-related incident involving a woman with whom Williams was previously in a relationship.
According to CPD, Williams told officers on December 12 that the pair had separated and admitted to installing a tracking device on the victim’s vehicle in October 2025 without her consent.
The victim later contacted police after Williams repeatedly showed up at her place of work, banging on doors and demanding that she return items he claimed she had stolen.
Investigators said Williams also left multiple threatening notes on the woman’s vehicle — one of which read, “You have nowhere to go and no place to hide!! Return what you stole! You can be found!”
Police said that after being trespassed from the property, Williams continued to contact the victim and pressured her to “drop the charges”, which led to his arrest.
Previous Arrest and Disciplinary History
This is not the firefighter’s first run-in with the law. In September 2023, Williams was arrested on battery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges after a firehouse incident described as a “joke gone too far.”
According to that report, Williams allegedly held a knife to a coworker’s throat while joking about using soap on a cast-iron pan — a long-standing firehouse joke. Witnesses said Williams wrapped his arms around the victim’s neck, held the knife against him, and said, “That’s how people get killed.”
Williams later told investigators he was “just joking” and that he used “the dull side of the blade.” He was released on bond totaling just over $3,500 and placed on administrative leave.
