A Bend man entered a not-guilty plea on Monday to 20 first- and second-degree felony counts of inciting child sexual abuse and one misdemeanor count of supporting the sexual assault of an animal. The Bend man was residing at a licensed daycare center at the time of his arrest in late May.
According to court documents, Deschutes County Circuit Judge Alycia Herriott scheduled Jack Bergeron Jr.’s jury trial for October 1; it is anticipated to last four days. There will be two hearings: one on September 24 for trial readiness and another on September 30.
Following Bergeron’s arrest in late May, the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office stated that it had been notified in March of an IP address that was disseminating content pertaining to child sexual abuse. As soon as officials discovered that the residence where the crimes were taking place also had a state-licensed child care center, they raided the property.

According to documents obtained by a local news outlet, Bergeron is being held at the Deschutes County Jail.
Authorities stated at the time of his arrest that there was no proof the youngsters in the daycare center were the victims of the crimes.
