FRUITA, Colo. — A fatal rollover crash occurred Friday night on 16 Road in Fruita, leaving one man dead and a woman injured, officials confirmed.
The accident happened approximately one to one-and-a-half miles from the end of the pavement on 16 Road. Emergency responders from the Lower Valley Fire District, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, and Colorado State Patrol quickly arrived at the scene.
Crash Details
According to eyewitness reports and responders on the scene, a man and a woman were inside the vehicle involved in the single-car rollover. The woman was able to self-extricate and was taken for medical treatment, while the man did not survive the crash.
