One Dead at Scene After Veering Off Road in San Jose and Struck Pole; Marks 46th Traffic Death

A motorcyclist lost their life late Sunday night following a collision with a light pole in San Jose, according to police reports. The crash occurred around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Union and Bascom Avenues, as reported by authorities.

A man riding a 2008 Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling east on Union Avenue at Bascom Avenue when he unexpectedly left the road and struck a light pole, according to police reports. He passed away at the location.

The Santa Clara County Office of the Medical Examiner-Coroner will disclose the identity of the motorcyclist. Police report that this is the 46th deadly crash and traffic-related fatality in San Jose for the year.
