Ohio Teacher Arrested after Student’s Mom Caught Her in the Act with Her Mentally Challenged Teen Son: Police

Honk News (January, 2025) – Authorities report that a teacher’s aide assaulted a disabled teenager in their home during a snow day.

An Ohio teacher’s aide has been arrested for reportedly assaulting a teenage student who has the mental capacity of a 9-year-old. The incident was discovered by the boy’s mother, who found the 45-year-old woman at her home with her son after classes were canceled due to a snow day, according to law enforcement officials.

A paraprofessional from the Woodmore Local School District, Christin Coble, faces felony rape charges following an incident involving a 15-year-old victim at his residence in Sandusky County on Monday. The mother of the boy informed a local ABC affiliate that he has an intellectual disability and was at home that day because their school district was closed due to bad weather.

“Our family is absolutely devastated over all of this,” the mom said.

The mother of the underage victim has revealed to WTVG that she contacted the police regarding Coble after discovering her at her home with her son, although many details remain undisclosed.

“The investigation is still ongoing, and there may be some additional charges,” Sandusky County Sheriff Chris Hilton told local outlets.

Coble made a court appearance on Wednesday and received a bond set at $100,000. A grand jury will hear her case.

“While the District cannot comment on an ongoing investigation or the personally identifiable information of students, the District’s primary concern is always the safety and well-being of its students,” Woodmore Superintendent Dr. Schaeffer said.

A legal representative for the family of the victim stated on Wednesday that the teenager and his mother experienced “an unimaginable 48 hours.”

Alongside the serious allegation of rape, authorities are considering potential burglary charges concerning the manner in which Coble reportedly accessed the victim’s residence.
