Ohio Mother Breaks Down, Admits to Tossing Son’s Body Into River After Attempted Abandonment

When questioned by an investigator about how her little son died after she attempted to leave him and his siblings on behalf of her lover, an Ohio mother broke down.

“I’m trying not to get pissed off at you, but you’re bulls—-ing me,” he said. “And it’s not going to be good for you. Meaning that you’re f–ing yourself over by not telling me the whole truth here. You know what the f— happened to your boy. I know you know. Tell me what happened to your boy.”

The 33-year-old Brittany Gosney finally spoke, becoming clearly upset, “It feels like you guys are not believing me.”

She and her 46-year-old boyfriend, James Hamilton, threw her 6-year-old son, James Robert Hutchinson, from a bridge into the Ohio River close to Lawrenceburg, Indiana, Gosney finally acknowledged.

“You’re not bulls—-ing me when it comes that’s the spot?” the investigator asked her in 2021.

“Yes, that is the spot,” Gosney said.

There is still no sign of James Hutchinson.

Gosney, his mother, is presently incarcerated for 21 years to life for the crime of murder. Hamilton’s punishment for aiding in the body’s disposal ranged from 15 to 19 years. In the video, Gosney said that she attempted to leave her kids at her boyfriend’s request.

“I’m sick of kids,” he said, according to her.

On February 27, 2021, that unfortunately came to a head when Gosney attempted to leave her kids at the Rush Run Wildlife Preserve in Preble County. After escaping his bonds, James grabbed the 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan’s door and held on while Gosney drove off.

“Brittany slammed the gas trying to leave the kids and [dragged] Hutchinson possibly running him over,” court documents stated. “Brittany turned the vehicle around to check on Hutchinson and he was dead.”
