An individual is facing charges of sexually assaulting a young family member over an extended period, and there are concerns that there may be additional underage victims involved.
Sheriff Richard Jones revealed in a news conference on Wednesday that Kyle Plummer, 32, began subjecting a family member to abuse when she was only five years old.
Sheriff Jones announced that Plummer was arrested on Monday for two counts of rape.
Jones called Plummer a low-life and said, “He is actually a piece of [expletive].
The sheriff’s office received information from the Tennessee Department of Children Services regarding a potential case of sexual assault involving Plummer and the victim. It seems that Plummer confided in an ex-girlfriend about the abuse.
The sheriff’s office has reported that the girl primarily resides in Tennessee and that the incidents of abuse occurred in both Butler County and Tennessee. Jones mentioned the possibility of facing charges in Tennessee as well.
Plummer confessed to everything, according to detectives. He is scheduled to make a court appearance on Wednesday afternoon.
