Cellphone footage caught two officers being pummeled during a heated altercation among students on the campus of a San Bernardino County high school.
The event occurred on April 24 at approximately 4:30 p.m. and involved pupils from Highland’s Entrepreneur High School.
A witness took footage of at least three students physically fighting in a parking lot before two officers from the San Bernardino City Unified School District arrived and attempted to break up the incident.
The female students were observed striking and swearing at each other, rejecting the authorities’ attempts to separate them.
Several grownups emerge during the intense argument and join in on the brawl. The teenage girls were spotted assaulting officers and refused to cooperate. A youngster appeared to grab the female cop’s hair before the male police tackled another teen girl to the ground.
School district officials told KTLA that two policemen were physically attacked during the altercation.
As backup officers arrived at the parking lot, all of the juveniles were apprehended, handcuffed, and brought into custody. Because of their underage status, their identities were kept private.
It’s unknown what triggered the heated altercation. School officials stated the incident is still being investigated.
