Norwalk Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Sexual Assault Following Intense Manhunt: Authorities

An arrest was made in Bridgeport on Tuesday in connection with a kidnapping and sexual assault incident.

According to authorities, a woman living on the eastside of the city recently came forward with a harrowing account of being abducted, threatened with violence, and physically attacked.

The incident occurred at her apartment on August 15th. The victim had a prior domestic relationship with the suspect, Leroy Martin Pressley Jr., who is 36 years old and from Norwalk.

Following a thorough investigation, authorities were able to secure two felony arrest warrants for Pressley Jr.

On Tuesday, Norwalk police, with the help of the FBI, found him driving a vehicle in Norwalk. He was apprehended by authorities.

In addition, he was discovered to have illegal narcotics in his possession. He faced a narcotics violation charge from Norwalk police and was able to post bond.

He was subsequently taken to the Bridgeport Police Department to be served with the warrants.

He is facing charges of 1st-degree sexual assault and has been given a bond of $250,000 based on the first warrant.

The second warrant includes charges of 1st-degree kidnapping, 1st-degree reckless endangerment, 2nd degree strangulation/suffocation, 1st-degree unlawful restraint, 1st degree threatening, 3rd degree assault, and disorderly conduct. A bond of $500,000 has been set for that warrant.

He is set to make an appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court on Wednesday.
