Newborn Baby Thrown to Death from 4th Floor in California; Woman in Custody after Baby Found Dead on Alleyway

A tragic incident occurred in Los Angeles where a newborn boy was discovered deceased in an alley, reportedly after being dropped from a fourth-floor window.

A baby was discovered early Thursday morning in the Skid Row area of downtown LA, which is known for having one of the largest stable homeless populations in the nation.

Emergency responders were alerted at 5:27 a.m. and confirmed the infant’s death at the location. Authorities suspect the infant was thrown from the structure soon after its delivery.

Authorities found a woman who had been taken to a local hospital due to pelvic bleeding just hours prior to the discovery of the baby. Authorities reported that the woman was taken into custody for questioning and subsequently released while the investigation continues.
