New York City, NY: The famous New York City DJ Mister Cee has died at the age of 57. The family of the popular DJ confirmed to Hot97 radio station.
Calvin LeBrun, who went by the stage name Mister Cee, was a major player in hip-hop. He worked as a DJ for Big Daddy Kane and produced music for Biggie Smalls, also known as the Notorious B.I.G.
At the time, Mister Cee’s “Throwback at Noon” show on Hot97 was one of the most-watched shows. These days, he was on Audacy’s “94.7 The Block.”
After his family reported his death on Wednesday, many people in the music world posted their thoughts. DJ Jazzy Jeff wrote, “Rest in peace DJ Mister Cee.”

LeBrun was 57 when he died. His family confirmed his death but did not reveal the cause of death as per CBS News.
The radio station said that Mister Cee changed the way radio was done and helped break the careers of Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Alicia Keys, and other famous R&B and hip-hop acts during his 21-year career. His “Throwback at Noon” show on Hot 97 was one of the most-watched at that time.
