Los Angeles, CA: More than twenty-seven felony charges were filed against three men on Tuesday by California Attorney General Rob Bonta, in connection with their alleged participation in a retail organized crime operation that spanned Southern California.

The men were implicated in thefts that caused over $300,000 in damages and targeted upscale retailers in Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, Riverside, Alameda, and Santa Clara Counties, according to the investigation.

The California Department of Justice has charged Isaiah Abdullah, 26, Nickolas Mallory, 26, and Ishmael Baptist, 25 with organized retail theft, robbery, and grand theft, respectively.

According to Bonta, the suspect committed smash-and-grab thefts in which they ran into stores, seized purses and other costly items, and then fled the scene. Burberry, Prada, Sunglass Hut, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Michael Kors, Gucci, Coach, Versace, and Maison Margiela were among the retailers from which merchandise was stolen.
