Atlanta, Georgia: The authorities have opened a probe to investigate what led to the Wednesday shooting near McDonald’s.
On Wednesday afternoon, a lady was shot dead on Ralph David Abernathy Road.
The woman shot dead was in an apparent fight with another lady standing near her. Then a masked individual arrived at the scene and shot the lady dead. The other woman was also stunned by the shooting.
The victim was immediately taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The woman is now in custody. The officers are questioning her about the matter.
According to the police, the alleged shooter was apprehended by the customers in the nearby restaurant. The staff members of the restaurant were not involved in any of the acts.
Police have not released further information about the matter. The victim is identified as Tamanika Woods. She was a loving mother of 4 and was 33 years old.
The suspect is identified as T’Niya Evans, according to the police. The 19-year-old was charged with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies and theft by receiving stolen property.
Investigators looking into homicide are responding to the scene to obtain additional information. The woman was a mother to her 4 children. Her family does not want their identity to be made public and they say that she will be missed forever.
