A woman from Raleigh has been taken into custody and faces charges of attempted murder and child abuse.
A 28-year-old woman named Matquisha Alexis Jones was taken into custody on Monday in Raleigh. Jones faces serious allegations, including placing her child in a chokehold and brandishing a firearm at the child in April 2023.
The document indicated that she is accountable for numerous instances of physical, psychological, and emotional abuse, leading the victim to experience long-term post-traumatic stress.
