Montana Man Connected to Missing Arizona Admits to Possessing Child Sex Abuse Material: Records Reveal

A man with ties to an Arizona lady who went missing has pled guilty to sexual abuse of children, according to the Montana Attorney General’s Office.

“Edmund Davis, 37, admitted to possessing child sex abuse material on his electronic devices,” read a piece of the statement from September 30. “A review of the content determined the individuals depicted to be under the age of 13.”

The statement dated September 30 states that the incriminating materials were discovered in July 2023 when police in Havre, Montana, executed a search warrant on Davis’s residence. This was in response to the discovery that the residence was inhabited by a lady who had gone missing in 2019.

“When she answered the door, officers observed Davis in the kitchen behind her throwing a cellphone into a trash can and placing items on top of the phone as if to hide it,” the statement reads in part.

The Montana Attorney General’s Office did not identify the woman, although her description is consistent with Alicia Navarro. In September 2019, Navarro, a teenager with autism who was characterized as having high functioning, disappeared from her house without a trace. When she vanished, she was fourteen years old.

Note that Alicia denied ever being wounded when she interviewed with the Glendale Police Department in July 2023.

Officials announced that upon the acquisition of a search warrant for the electronic devices, they discovered a photo of a child who had been sexually abused, along with additional images that were deemed “evidentiary.”

The announcement states that Davis’s sentencing hearing is set for December 16th.

“The state will be asking the court to sentence Davis to the Montana State Prison for 100 years, with 50 years suspended and a 25-year parole restriction,” the statement reads in part.
