A Michigan doctor, Dr. Oumair Aejaz, is facing 17 more felony counts related to a 6-year-old child’s alleged sexual assault.
Prosecutors said Aejaz sexually assaulted multiple victims while secretly filming their every move in various locations including bedrooms, restrooms, changing rooms, closets, and even hospital rooms.
On August 7, Aejaz’s wife informed the authorities, which sparked the investigation. The results of a search warrant turned up fifteen hard drives, four mobile phones, and six desktops. Over the last six years, Aejaz allegedly filmed more than 13,000 films on a single hard disk.
So far, the victims’ ages vary from two to twenty-one.
Three counts of aggravated child sexually abusive activity, two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, three counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, two counts of capturing image of an undressed person, and six counts of using a computer to commit a crime were added to the new charges that were announced on Thursday, Oct. 10.
The Oakland County Jail is currently housing him since he is now facing a minimum of 27 counts.
Life in prison without parole is a real prospect for Aejaz if he is found guilty.
