Man Shot Woman to Death in Georgia; Young Kids Crawled through Pool of Blood to Get Help; Man facing Charges

The two young children, ages two and five, allegedly had to crawl through their mother’s blood in order to reach assistance following her shooting death.

Saturday, a residence in Augusta, Georgia, was the site of the murder of 27-year-old Laquana Lang. Accusations of having an affair with Lang have led to the murder charges against 26-year-old Davante Parks.

In addition to being held in Richmond County Jail on one murder charge, he is also facing two first-degree cruelty to minors offenses, possession of a weapon or firearm during criminal activity, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, according per documents from the jail.

The horrible facts of the death were disclosed by arrest warrants secured by WRDW.

The two small children of Lang were left alone with her lifeless body for over four hours after the incident. The kids managed to crawl through her blood pool and get to safety in the end.

According to the police, they also named Parks—whom they believe to be their stepfather—as the gunman.

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office identified Lang as deceased at 11:06 a.m., following a shooting that occurred at 4 a.m.

An arrest warrant from May 2016 states that Parks was released on parole less than two months after shooting Brittney McKie in May 2016. This shooting occurs less than two months after her release. The initial report from the deputy indicated that McKie sustained wounds to her right arm, right thigh, left middle finger, and “possibly her genitals.”

Parks admitted admission to two charges: aggravated assault and criminal possession of a handgun.

“I didn’t go to sleep; I haven’t been to sleep since I heard he was out,” McKie told WJBF after reports broke of Park’s latest arrest.

“Saturday I had to find out from a Facebook post that it was him that was out– nobody told me he was out.”
