Honk News (Portland, OR) – A 69-year-old man has been charged with multiple offenses following allegations from Portland police that he kidnapped and sexually assaulted a woman after assisting her with her groceries during the Christmas season.
Portland police have received a report from a 74-year-old woman who stated that on December 23, she paused briefly while returning home with groceries in Downtown Portland.
A woman reported that a man approached her with an offer to assist with her bags. However, upon reaching her residence, he blocked the door and prevented her from exiting.
During a harrowing three-day ordeal, the woman reported to authorities that she was subjected to repeated sexual assaults until she ultimately managed to persuade the assailant to depart on December 26.
Authorities swiftly recognized the individual as Kenneth Gregory Williams, prompting police to reach out to his parole officer, who subsequently issued a warrant for his apprehension.
On January 5, Williams was apprehended and, following discussions with detectives, he was charged with three counts of first-degree rape, first-degree kidnapping, first-degree coercion, and first-degree burglary.
Authorities have indicated that Williams is facing scrutiny for additional unrelated rape allegations, suggesting the possibility of further unreported incidents.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have details regarding Williams to reach out to the Portland police.
