Man Kidnapped Woman at Gunpoint in Texas and Threatened to Sell Her Organs; Was Giggling and Proud while Confessing to Police

A man reportedly informed authorities that he abducted a woman due to financial desperation, yet his actions suggested motivations that extended beyond mere avarice.

“He smirked a lot, he giggled, and, you know, was almost proud of what he did,” police Sgt. Rick Alexander of Haltom City, Texas, told Dallas Fox affiliate KDFW about the suspect, Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy, 35.

A man allegedly threatened a 22-year-old victim with dire consequences, claiming he would “sell her organs” or “prostitute her,” as detailed in court documents acquired by the outlet.

“He claims he’s just a thief. He wants money,” Alexander said. “But, you know, in this case, clearly he went beyond that and brought a firearm into it.”

At 4:45 a.m. on Tuesday, a 22-year-old woman was approached by Godoy while she was walking to her vehicle at Acacia Apartments, leading to her abduction at gunpoint, as reported by Haltom City police.

“The victim was then driven approximately 22 miles to the Camden Apartments at 3900 Grapevine Mills Parkway in Grapevine, where she was briefly restrained,” cops wrote. “She managed to escape and summon help, while the suspect fled in her vehicle.”

On Christmas Day, the police in Oklahoma City discovered the stolen vehicle parked in a lot. Authorities reported that Godoy was present and was subsequently taken into custody by officers.

“Evidence connected to the reported offense was recovered at the scene,” they wrote.

Authorities have indicated that Godoy, originally from Honduras, had previously engaged in a similar offense and faced deportation as a result. He is presently under an ICE detainer. Godoy faces serious charges in Texas, including aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery. In Oklahoma, he is confronted with charges such as the unauthorized use of a vehicle and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
