An individual was taken into custody and faced charges on Friday following the discovery of explicit material involving minors at his residence, as reported by Fayetteville law enforcement officials.
The Fayetteville Police Department’s Cyber Crimes unit has received several reports regarding the downloading of child sexual abuse material at James Morris’ residence in Fayetteville. These reports were made through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children’s Cyber Tipline.
Authorities executed a search warrant at Morris’s residence, seizing multiple electronic devices and digital storage items. Further evidence of child sexual abuse material was discovered on the confiscated items.
According to authorities, Morris is facing charges related to the sexual exploitation of minors. He was granted a $20,000 bond, which he promptly paid, and has since been released.
