Atlanta, GA: An infamous criminal has been handed a lengthy 40-year prison sentence for fatally shooting a young father, inflicting multiple gunshot wounds.
On March 9, 2022, authorities were called to the Clarinbridge apartments in Cobb County in response to a shooting incident. Authorities discovered the lifeless body of Ethan Wackermann, 24, bearing multiple gunshot wounds across various parts of his body.
Authorities discovered a significant amount of marijuana, numerous THC cartridges, a collection of firearms, including a modified rifle, and compelling evidence of drug distribution at the residence.
According to Wackermann’s cousin, they were having a phone conversation when an argument ensued with Conner Harrison Beck, 27. It seemed like they resolved the conflict and the cousin ended the call. In a tragic turn of events, authorities have reported that Beck allegedly fired multiple shots at Wackermann within the confines of the apartment, just ten minutes after the incident occurred.
Cobb District Attorney Flynn D. Broady Jr. announced on Tuesday that Beck has reached a plea agreement. The charges include voluntary manslaughter, aggravated assault, trafficking in marijuana, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of an illegal weapon.
The judge handed down a sentence of 90 years, with the initial 40 years to be spent behind bars. Wackermann’s daughter and fiance are left behind.
