A Windham resident was taken into custody on Thursday for reportedly engaging in a sexual offense involving a minor in North Dakota.
A man named Claude Tuyishime, aged 25, is being sought by the U.S. Marshals Service for a serious crime involving a child under the age of 15.
Tuyishime was apprehended without any trouble on Thursday after authorities located him on Alfred Road in Biddeford. The arrest warrant for Tuyishime was granted by a Cass County judge on Aug. 2.
He is currently being held in Maine and is awaiting extradition to North Dakota as a fugitive from justice.
