Man Arrested in Illinois after He Ditched GPS Tracker to Evade Sexual Assault Trial: Authorities

Honk News (Chicago, IL) – A man who evaded electronic monitoring while awaiting trial for predatory criminal sexual assault has been apprehended.

Jorge Mondragon-Bahena, 48, entered the Sheriff’s Electronic Monitoring Program in October 2022 following charges related to the sexual assault of a minor under 13 years old.

In March 2023, Mondragon-Bahena took off his GPS tracking device and escaped from his designated residence located in the 3500 block of North Southport Avenue in Chicago.
