After a child was discovered imprisoned in a room, two people were arrested in Gold Hill on allegations of child abuse.
After deputies discovered a youngster imprisoned inside of a small room in Gold Hill, two women were taken into custody and charged with child abuse. The incident occurred in Storey County.
At approximately one o’clock on Monday afternoon, the Storey County Sheriff’s Office carried out a welfare check on a youngster who was located in the vicinity of Tunnel Road.
Upon discovering that the boy required medical assistance, the constable took him from the room where he was located. According to the reporting of the police, the child did not have access to a lavatory, food, or water.
Following this, Tammy Hinds, who is 34 years old, and Nancy Hinds, who is 68 years old, both of Gold Hill, were taken into custody and charged with child abuse/neglect as well as false imprisonment. The Storey County Detention Facility has registered both of them as detainees.
The Department of Child and Family Services was given custody of the child and a sibling after they were freed from parental custody.
