Federal Way, WA: A young kid, who had been shot in Federal Way on Thursday morning and had life-threatening injuries, passed away. He was only two years old.
The child, who was inside the vehicle at the time, was injured by a gunshot, according to the police, who stated that the child’s father and another individual exchanged gunfire about the incident.
After arriving at Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, the boy passed away, according to a statement published by the city of Federal Way.
“At this point, I am unable to provide any specifics regarding the investigation,” said Federal Way Mayor Jim Ferrell in an interview on Friday morning. “However, efforts are being made to learn more about what took place, and conversations with the father are still ongoing.”

“It’s incomprehensible and senseless and it makes me and the community justifiably outraged and concerned.”
The effort to reduce restrictions on police pursuits was approved by the Legislature during this session, according to the mayor, who expressed his approval of the decision.
