Jury Passes Death Penalty for Man who Brutally Killed Two Women in Florida; Judge to Consider Penalty

Wade Wilson was found guilty of killing two women in Cape Coral and his jury said on Tuesday that he should be put to death.

The jurors began to talk about the case at 1:30 p.m. and made their choice around 3:10 p.m.

Nine of the twelve jurors said that the person who killed Kristine Melton should be put to death, and ten said the same thing about the person who killed Diane Ruiz.

Sara Miller, the state prosecutor, said that the jury’s decision to put the man to death is a win for many people.

“The only thing I’d like to add is that we really think this case is a win for hundreds of victims.” A lot of women who were abused by the offender have told us that he either didn’t press charges or, for some other reason, didn’t get justice through the court system. “So I think this win really makes a lot of people safe,” Miller said.

Miller said at the start of the final arguments that this is the part of the trial where they will make the big ask: they will ask for the death penalty.

The government is trying to show that the killings of Kristine Melton and Diane Ruiz were horrible, horrible, horrible, and cruel.

Miller talks about the cuts that were found on both women and how they seem to have been defensive wounds as reported by News Press.

She said it’s never easy to decide to kill someone, but this time it was the right thing to do.

Wilson’s injuries to his head and mental health are why the defense wants him to spend the rest of his life in jail.

The defense said there was no way to know if the women were awake when they died or if the state wanted the jury to think they were in pain and panic.

Shirley also read Wilson’s sister a letter in which she said that he had died because of his mental health problems.
