Darrell Wayne Lang, 51, a former Cleveland resident, was found guilty of repeatedly abusing two teenage victims sexually over a number of years. In the 75th State District Courtroom in Liberty on Tuesday, July 23, the jury found Lang guilty in just eight minutes.
The tip came from a different defendant who had entered a guilty plea to possessing child pornography. It was discovered that Lang, an expert in IT forensics, was teaching others how to conduct various acts of pedophilia while avoiding detection and hiding their identities from law authorities.
September 2021 saw the start of the inquiry that resulted in Lang’s arrest, which happened during the first week of October 2021. Lang lived in an apartment complex in Cleveland, Texas, with his female accomplice at the time some of the sexual crimes on his two young victims were performed.
A preview of some of the videos Lang had made of his two young victims was given to the jurors during his trial as per a local news outlet.
He had regular access to these youngsters, as did his girlfriend, who has recently entered a plea deal in Harris County for aggravated sexual abuse of a child relating to this case. Lang had already entered guilty pleas to several charges of possessing child pornography in Montgomery County prior to his trial in Liberty County.
The abuse started while the victims—a boy and a girl—were very little. When the torture came to an end, with Lang’s arrest and the female offender receiving a prison sentence, they were 13 and 15 years old.
