Honk News (San Marcos, TX) – A San Marcos man, Bo Michael Dresner, 45, has been sentenced to 410 years in prison for sexually abusing two children and possessing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
Judge Gary Steel handed Dresner 75-year consecutive sentences for four counts of continuous child abuse, plus additional sentences of 10 to 20 years for 61 other charges.
The investigation started in 2019 after a child reported being molested by Dresner. A second victim was later identified. Authorities arrested Dresner while he was headed to the airport with a one-way ticket to Armenia. A forensic search of his devices revealed hundreds of thousands of CSAM images and searches for non-extradition countries.
Dresner had a prior conviction for assaulting a 15-year-old in Minnesota, but his sentence was reduced. Evidence also showed that one of his victims had previously accused him in 2012, but the case was not fully investigated, and the child was returned to his home.
Dresner’s trial began on March 4, but after the first day of testimony, he changed his plea to guilty on all 65 counts.
