On the big and small screens, a British star of Collins first broke out in the 1950s. She never since her continued marriages have been mocked on late-night talk in the shows and The Simpsons alike.

Here are all of their marriages (plus one major attachment that didn’t end in a ring!) from start to finish.

Her First Husband Was Maxwell Reed

Joan Collins’ first marriage was to Northern Irish actor Maxwell Reid in 1952. Reid was a pilot in the RAF and a member of the Merchant Navy during World War II but rose to prominence as an artist during peacetime.

He joined the so-called Rank Charm School at the age of 27 and made his film debut in the 1946 British production The Years Between.

Although Reid was a leading man and rising star in her own right when she met Collins in the early 1950s, their marriage was not a happy one. It was alleged that Reed sexually assaulted Collins and that she married him out of obligation and shame.

The couple separated after two years of their marriage and divorced two years later in 1956, with Reed unsuccessfully suing Collins for alimony.

Engagement With Warren Beatty

In the late 1950s, Joan Collins made a public engagement with then-unknown actor Warren Beatty. Beatty began his career with television appearances on shows such as Kraft Television Theatre and Studio One, on The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis before becoming a series regular.

When Beatty met Collins, at that time he was already an established film star with legions of fans.

The reason for the separation with  Beatty’s lothario tendencies, as the actor cheated on Collins so many times as he gained momentum and fame in his career.

Before marrying Collins, in his past, Kass had three kids from his first wife, and four of them moved from London to Lugano, Switzerland. After the divorce from Ron Kass, she settled in America until his family stayed behind, which put him in a position to meet Joan Collins.

Collins and Ron Kass tied the knot in 1972, and Collins gave birth to their baby girl in the same year, it’s only rumored that the purpose of the marriage was to have a child out of wedlock. Collins and  Kass’ relationship lasted over a decade but ended in divorce in 1983.

Her Fourth Husband Was Peter Holm

Joan Collins entered her mid-80s with three ex-husbands and three children. After her separation from Ron Kass in 1985, she remained unattached for two years, before marrying Peter Holm.

Holm was a very popular Swedish playboy and former Europop singer who made headlines for decades for her string of romances and flamboyant lifestyle.

To say that Holm’s relationship with Collins was stormy would be an understatement. Collins sought an annulment in 1986, just a year after their marriage, and the divorce was finalized in 1987.

Famously, their divorce proceedings turned into a media circus, with Holm issuing a restraining order against Collins, and Collins, in turn, saying that Holm was: “the most combative person [he] had ever met”.

During the trial, Collins’ attorney introduced Holm’s secret lover, rising star Romina Danielsson, who was grilled so intensely during questioning that she fainted on the stand. Yes.

Fifth Husband Was Percy Gibson

Joan Collins’ fourth and fifth marriages were the biggest in her life, with her divorce from Holm finalized in 1987, and her marriage to Percy Gibson in 2002. Gibson is 31 years his junior and primarily shies away from the spotlight, although his career is also inextricably linked to show business.

Percy Gibson is a Hollywood producer known for his work on the TV show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and films such as The Time of Our Lives, and Banksy’s Coming to Dinner.

Although he was born in Peru, he became an American citizen in adulthood. Joan Collins said in an interview with The Sun, regarding her final match: “The fact that I was older didn’t matter to us.

It was giddy, it was fabulous and Percy and I fell madly in love. I have finally found my true soul mate. And my husband forever. How lovely!
