JetBlue Pilot Arrested at Boston Airport Over Child Exploitation Charges

A JetBlue pilot with an outstanding arrest warrant was apprehended Thursday night at Boston’s Logan International Airport, just before his scheduled departure for Paris, according to officials.

Jeremy Gudorf, 33, from Ohio, faced arraignment on Friday in East Boston District Court for a fugitive from justice charge. This occurred less than a day after Massachusetts State Police discovered he was wanted in connection with charges involving the sexual exploitation of a minor in Huntersville, North Carolina.

“He works as a commercial pilot, the warrant is issued from North Carolina, and he lives in Ohio.” For these reasons, we request that he be detained without bail and that he relinquish his passport,” stated Suffolk Assistant District Attorney Kyle Neyman in court.

Tanvi Verma, representing Gudorf, contested Neyman’s plea for her client to be detained without bail.

“He possesses the financial means to rent a car and travel to North Carolina.” He has promised me that he will take care of it. Verma remarked on Gudorf’s ability to secure a modest bail due to his financial resources. “He is linked to Massachusetts, North Carolina, and Ohio.” Honestly, there’s no escaping this situation…These allegations are quite grave.

Shortly before 9 p.m., U.S. Customs and Border Protection became aware of the warrant during a routine examination of the manifest for a flight from Boston to Paris and sought assistance from the troopers stationed at the airport, according to state police.

A JetBlue spokesperson informed Boston 25 News that Gudorf is now on “indefinite leave.”

The spokesperson stated, “We are aware of and closely reviewing the arrest of one of our pilots upon reporting for work at Boston’s Logan Airport Thursday evening due to an outstanding warrant.” “The pilot is currently on indefinite leave while law enforcement continues their investigation.”

The Huntersville Police Department initiated an investigation into Gudorf in October 2024 following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

In the course of the inquiry, authorities announced that investigators secured a search warrant for Google, which resulted in pinpointing the origin of the alleged sexual exploitation images.

“When the offense took place, documentation shows he lived in Huntersville, NC. The police department stated, “However, during the investigation, and prior to his identification as a suspect, he moved out of state.”

Gudorf permitted to conceal his identity during the proceedings, has been mandated to remain in custody with a bail set at $10,000, contingent upon his prompt reporting to North Carolina by the following week.

“I anticipate you will manage to arrive there by Monday or Tuesday,” remarked the judge overseeing Gudorf’s hearing.

Gudorf is scheduled to return to Massachusetts for a status hearing on March 19, contingent upon the resolution of his warrant.
