On Tuesday, a man from Clarksville, Indiana, who is 22 years old, was taken into custody after he was suspected of attacking a lady at Hanover College in the fall of last year.
An alleged sexual assault that took place on campus was the subject of an investigation that was initiated by the Indiana State Police – Versailles Post in September of 2023. Jackson Kruer, a student at the college, and a lady who also attended the college are believed to have left an on-campus party together in the early morning hours of September 17th, according to the investigators.
An information service provider (ISP) news release states that both students walked to the woman’s dorm room, where she claimed that Kruer had sexually abused her. ISP investigators were contacted after the victim promptly reported the assault to campus security, who then responded to the incident.
After the conclusion of the inquiry, the case was handed over to the Prosecutor’s Office of Jefferson County, which is located in Indiana, for further examination. Therefore, a warrant for Kruer’s arrest was issued for the crime of rape, which is a level 3 felony.
Kruer was taken into custody by detectives from the Indiana State Police – Versailles and Sellersburg posts on a charge of felony rape. He was then transported to the Jefferson County Jail in Indiana, where he remained incarcerated while awaiting his initial court appearance.
