Indiana Cop Arrested after He Brutally Molested Minor; Also Fired from Department

Kokomo, IN- An Indiana cop has been arrested by authorities after allegations surfaced that he molested a minor.

The officer is identified as Sinmi Asomuyide. He was also terminated for “multiple policy violations.”

According to Kokomo Police Chief Douglas Stout, on July 1, he was informed by a different law enforcement agency about an investigation involving a probationary officer in the KPD. The Indiana State Police was then called by KPD to request that they look into the accusations made against Asomuyide.

According to the ISP’s early inquiry, Asomuyide had broken several policy rules. KPD stated that Asomuyide’s termination was consequently based only on the policy infractions.

KPD said that Asomuyide was taken into custody by the Indiana State Police on Monday. Preliminary charges against Asomuyide include sexual misconduct with a juvenile, sexual battery, seducing a kid, and official misconduct, according to the Tipton County Jail.
