Immigrant Father Repeatedly Molested Her Own Daughter while Staying at Shelter in Massachusetts; Arrested after Victim Notified Staff

Honk News (Boston, MA) – A resident of a migrant shelter in Massachusetts has been arrested and charged with raping and impregnating his teenage daughter while living at a government-funded facility.

A man, whose identity is being withheld by police to safeguard his daughter’s privacy, has been accused of repeatedly raping her during their trip to the U.S. and after their arrival.

An immigrant was residing at a shelter managed by Eliot Community Human Services, which oversees two government-funded shelters located in Holiday Inn and Extended Stay hotels in Marlborough, Massachusetts, near Boston.

Marlborough Police arrested an immigrant last week after shelter staff reported his crimes in May 2024, as reported.

An immigrant was charged with aggravated rape of a child in the Marlborough District Court on Monday. District Judge Meghan Spring has ordered him to be held without bail until a hearing on Friday, where it will be decided if he poses a threat to the public.

Jon Fetherson, a former director of the Marlborough migrant shelter, has raised concerns about incidents of violence, child sexual assault, and rape occurring at shelters in the state.
