Illinois Teacher Molested High School Student; Claimed She is the Target as She is Attractive and Caring: Arrested

Honk News (Chicago, IL) – A 30-year-old married teacher, Christina Formella, faces allegations of engaging in a ‘sexual encounter’ with a 15-year-old student. She asserts her innocence, suggesting that her appearance has made her a target.

An incident reportedly occurred during a tutoring session prior to school in December 2023 at Downers Grove South High School in Chicago, Illinois, involving Formella, who served as the boy’s football coach and special education teacher.

A shocking revelation came to light when the boy’s mother purchased him a new phone and accessed his iCloud account, uncovering the alleged relationship.

In a startling revelation, court documents acquired by the Daily Herald reveal that she discovered messages between her son and Formella that discussed sexual activity and hinted at a relationship.

Prosecutors allege that their inquiry uncovered indications of a relationship that the boy ultimately chose to terminate.

At that moment, he was just 15 years old, while she was already 28.

Formella was taken into custody on Sunday following a traffic stop, just days after the boy’s mother alerted authorities about the incident.

In a police interrogation, Formella refuted the allegations of sexual contact, asserting that “everyone targets her due to her attractiveness and her compassionate nature towards (the boy),” according to court records.

She faces serious allegations, including two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse and one count of criminal sexual assault involving a minor.

A judge granted bail to the teacher on Monday after her initial court appearance, imposing conditions that require her to stay away from anyone under 18 and to avoid high school altogether.

Official records reveal her qualifications as a language arts educator and a learning behavior expert dating back to 2017.
