Akili McDowell, a TV actor, has been charged with murder after the tragic shooting incident that took place at an East Houston apartment complex, resulting in the death of Cesar Peralta.
The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the 13503 block of North Thorntree, near Uvalde Road, as reported by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
A 20-year-old named Cesar Peralta was found in the parking lot with several gunshot wounds. The individual was declared deceased at the location.
McDowell, recognized for his performances in various TV shows and movies such as “David Makes Man” and “The Astronaut Wives Club,” has been apprehended and is now being held at the Harris County Jail. He has been assigned a bond of $400,000, and his court appearance is scheduled for August 5.
Additionally, McDowell is being charged with theft and has a bond set at $210 for this offense.
