Georgia Man Beaten with Sledgehammer for 8 Minutes during Home Invasion by Two Men Disguised as Delivery Workers

Honk News (Savannah, GA) – A report has emerged about a man in Georgia who was assaulted by two individuals impersonating Amazon employees who gained entry into his residence.

On Saturday, January 11, at approximately 8 a.m. local time, two individuals, seemingly dressed in attire reminiscent of a well-known delivery service, were captured on video entering a residence in Savannah, as shared by the Savannah Police Department on Facebook.

A man was seen clutching a package, while both individuals had their hoods drawn up. The individuals were observed entering through the door, only to emerge moments later as the victim cried out, “Help! Help!”

On Tuesday, Jan. 14, authorities shared the video, seeking help from the community to address a break-in that occurred in the 500 block of Price Street.

A CBS affiliate has reported that the individual involved has been identified as George “Dirk” Hardison, 66, who was assaulted after mistakenly believing that the individuals posing as delivery personnel were bringing a package that morning.
