Georgia Cop Arrested after He Molested Woman at Her Residence; Slapped with Charges after Allegations were Probed

Honk News (Elberton, GA) – A former law enforcement officer is currently facing scrutiny from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation following allegations of sexual assault.

On Tuesday, the police department in Elberton requested the GBI to look into a former officer, Edar Carreon, 30, from Elberton.

The report was filed with the Elbert County Sheriff’s Office by the victim.

The GBI reports that Carreon visited the victim’s residence on December 17, 2024, in relation to a matter involving the victim’s daughter. A 30-year-old former officer returned to the victim’s residence later that day, leading to the incident that followed, according to the GBI.

Authorities indicated that Carreon had no connection to the victim. Carreon faces serious legal consequences after being taken into custody on charges of rape and violating his oath of office.

Carreon has been taken into custody and is now at the Elbert County Jail.
