Garland Man Arrested For Operating Drug Delivery Network Using Uber in Wylie, Texas

Wylie, TX: An alleged drug dealer in Texas was arrested and subsequently charged with murder for utilizing an unknowing Uber delivery driver to transport fentanyl.

Kennedy Kirby, a 30-year-old resident of Garland, was first accused of the creation and distribution of a controlled substance by the Wylie Police Department. He was officially accused of murder on Thursday.

Authorities stated in a Facebook post that the accusations were related to the death of Jacob Bowers, who passed away from an overdose on Jan. 11. Kirby was charged with homicide based on the findings of Bowers’ toxicological testing.

Authorities apprehended Kirby at a residence on Feb. 6 and discovered several pills containing fentanyl. Police discovered 22.3 grams of raw fentanyl, 1,436 M30 fentanyl tablets, and 1,054.50 V/2090 Xanax fentanyl pills.

Police found drug paraphernalia, electronics, a pistol, and cash during the raid, as stated in the press release. After being arrested, Kirby was taken to the Collin County Detention Facility and is still there.
