Honk News (Chicago, IL) – Authorities have reported that four teenagers have been cited regarding the brutal death of a coyote in Chicago.
Chicago Authorities responded to the location in the Mt. Greenwood area on January 11 following reports from witnesses who claimed to have seen several boys reportedly mistreating a coyote.
According to reports, the coyote was killed by being shot with a bow and subsequently stomped to death, as stated by the Illinois Conservation Police. Authorities reported that the animal’s remains were taken away from the location, and an inquiry resulted in four adolescents receiving citations.
Reports indicate that four boys aged 16 to 17 have been cited for various hunting violations, including hunting without supervision, hunting on private lands without permission, hunting too close to a residence, and abandoning a wildlife carcass on private property without authorization.
Officials have not disclosed their identities.
Authorities in Chicago informed that the inquiry is under the jurisdiction of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources.

On Sunday, January 12, the airline reported that a Boeing 737 MAX 9, carrying 167 passengers and six crew members, had an unexpected encounter with a wild animal upon landing as its gear touched down on the runway.
The airline has verified that the plane safely returned to Chicago O’Hare International Airport for examination.
