Last week, the U.S. Marshals Service reconnected four children from Rochester with their aunt and legal guardian. This came after a four-month investigation that found the children at a motel in California.
Shantel Cormier was given custody of the four kids on February 4 by Rochester Family Court. Their biological mother, Kristyanna Hall, 31, was told to give up custody on February 10, but she left the state with the kids, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service in New Hampshire.
On May 13, agents found Hall and the kids in Ontario, California. Investigators from the Rochester Police Department had tracked them to Murrieta, California. The kids were taken to Boston, where they met up with their parent again on Thursday morning.
In a written statement, Rochester Police Chief Gary Boudreau said, “We value the partnerships this department has with our regional and federal agencies.” “We’re glad to see that these partnerships are having a positive effect on the Rochester community.”
The police are still looking for Kristyanna Hall because she is still on the run.
William R. Hart, Jr., United States Marshal for the District of New Hampshire, said, “This case shows how important it is for different agencies to work together to protect children who are at risk.” “We are grateful for the swift actions of our law enforcement partners in California and commend the Rochester Police Department for their persistence and dedication to this case.”
Should anyone know where Hall is, they should call their local police or the U.S. Marshals Service.
