A former employee of a computer repair shop opened fire on his ex-boss in a shocking daytime incident on the Upper West Side Thursday. Following the attack, he managed to flee through subway tunnels and even sought refuge under a train, as reported by sources and nearby store owners.
Authorities reported that the angry assailant fired at the 47-year-old victim, hitting him once in the shoulder and once in the leg at the intersection of West 69th Street and Columbus Avenue around 9:20 a.m.
According to sources, the two were employed at Lincoln Business Machines Incorporated, and the assailant had recently been terminated from his remote position prior to the incident, as reported by several local store owners to The Post.
The individual was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, where their condition was reported as stable.

In a dramatic turn of events, the assailant made a hasty retreat into the 72nd Street train station, where he stealthily slipped beneath an A train in the tunnel, managing to evade capture, according to sources.
A gunman on the run continued to disrupt the commutes of several straphangers Wednesday afternoon.
In a tense situation, passengers aboard a train were instructed to lie on the subway floor while law enforcement conducted a search for the shooter, as captured in video footage acquired by The New York Times.
Authorities reported that the suspect, who remains at large, is a man in his 40s. He was last seen donning a black hoodie, a green jacket, tan pants, and carrying a black firearm.
