Florida Man Mercilessly Killed 13-year-old; Slapped with Charges after He Left Her in Closet with Blood Pool

A 28-year-old man has been indicted on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, in Orange County for the tragic incident where a 13-year-old girl was fatally stabbed on the Fourth of July.

On Wednesday, a grand jury brought formal charges against Jerry Dorisme, including first-degree murder, kidnapping with intent to inflict bodily harm or terrorize, sexual battery, and attempted sexual battery.

A 13-year-old girl named Rose Dieujuste was discovered on July 4th at a complex on South Rio Grande Avenue, showing clear signs of trauma. According to Orange County Sheriff John Mina, the girl was tragically and violently killed, and her body was discovered partially unclothed in the closet.

“She was stabbed and her condition was critical,” Mina reported during a press briefing. Regrettably, she was taken to the hospital, where she later passed away due to her injuries.

After the release of surveillance video and receiving tips from the community, Dorisme, 28, was arrested by the sheriff’s office for his involvement in leaving the parking lot of the complex, according to Mina.

Rose was headed to see another friend in the building within the same complex. According to Mina, when Rose was attacked, her friend discovered her cell phone and shoes on the staircase of the apartment building and immediately contacted Rose’s family.

According to Mina, the surveillance footage revealed Dorisme discreetly trailing the girl as she made her way to her friend’s apartment.

In 2020, Dorisme faced a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation of a child, which was later reduced to child abuse, as per the sheriff. Before the tragic incident, Mina mentioned that authorities were alerted to a situation involving an individual seen carrying a knife in public. Based on an affidavit for an arrest warrant, the incident occurred on June 18 on Silver Star Road.

According to local residents, there have been previous reports of him observing girls in the area.

Although he was unfamiliar with her, he had previously resided in that vicinity. He knows that area well. He has been a regular visitor to that area … He mentioned that there was a clear sense of concern for him. “Apart from the inappropriate behavior and recent Baker Act incident, this is the only information we have about him.”
