Honk News (Miami, FL) – A couple from Miami faces allegations of molesting and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl they encountered at church, according to police reports.
Edwin Erasmo Vasquez Vasquez, 50, and Yulian Jaqueline Garcia Castro, 39, left Miami but were taken into custody in Lehigh Acres on Wednesday. They face charges of sexual battery, lewd and lascivious molestation, and lewd and lascivious conduct, according to Miami Police officials.
The inquiry started in November when the teenager and her parents spoke with law enforcement, although the reported events took place from July to December of 2023, according to an arrest report.
A report reveals that the girl, who claimed to have met the couple at church, stated that the first incident occurred during a night she spent at their home, where she was sleeping in the bed shared by the couple and their two children.
The report indicated that several other incidents occurred in the months that followed, but the teenager mentioned she didn’t inform anyone due to fear.
In a reported incident, Garcia Castro instructed Vasquez Vasquez and the teenager to kiss, resulting in a bruise on the teenager’s lips.
Vasquez Vasquez and Garcia Castro have been taken into custody at the Lee County jail and are anticipated to be transported to Miami-Dade to address the charges against them.
