Phoenix, AZ: Following a high-speed Border Patrol pursuit that concluded with the capture of two unauthorized immigrants in a stolen vehicle he was operating near the Arizona border, a man from Schaumburg was charged with felony human smuggling, according to authorities.
Graesen A. Jackson, a 24-year-old suspect, allegedly blew past Border Patrol agents near Bisbee, Arizona, on Tuesday afternoon. Other law enforcement agencies, including the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Border Patrol agents, Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers, Bureau of Land Management officers, and air support, became involved in the pursuit, according to KGUN.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that a 2019 Mazda hatchback driven by Jackson was reported stolen from a Burger King in Bisbee earlier that day. The pursuit came to a sudden end when officers lay spike strips across the road, deflating the tires.

Jackson and his passengers tried to flee on foot after the disabled vehicle, but they were quickly caught by the authorities.
The two men accompanying Jackson were handed over to the Border Patrol for processing during the pursuit, which crossed into opposing lanes of traffic and endangered other drivers. The circumstances behind their connection to the Schaumburg man remain unclear. Jackson is currently facing significant accusations related to an apparent failed human smuggling attempt. The investigation is still ongoing, according to authorities.
