FAA, NTSB Launch Investigation After Plane Crash in Tennessee Kills 3

On Saturday, a small plane crashed about a mile south of a country airport in Sparta, Tennessee, killing all three people on board.

The single-engine Mooney M20TN plane crashed around noon local time, according to airport and FAA officials who spoke to Fox News Digital. The plane was on its way to the Upper Cumberland Regional Airport.

The FAA said in a statement that it would look into it. The NTSB is in charge.

A famous trick pilot died just days before the crash while trying to land at Virginia’s Langley Air Force Base.

Rob Holland was the only person on board, and he died when the plane crashed into the ground near the taxiway just after 11:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Dan Boggs, an NTSB air safety inspector.

Boggs said Holland wasn’t doing any tricks when the terrible thing happened; he was just trying to land normally.

The government admitted that Holland had talked to air traffic controllers before the crash.

At that time, the airfield was closed, but military activities did not stop.
