Drunk Man Breaks Into Montgomery County Home, Falls Asleep Police

LOWER MORELAND, Pa. – A person in Lower Moreland Township was scared when they got home early Sunday morning and saw a man inside.

Just before 4 a.m., police were called to the 2300 block of Pine Road to investigate claims of an armed break-in.

Ihor Liakhovych was found inside the house with stains on his clothes. Police say he smelled strongly of alcohol. He didn’t have a gun.

The person who lived there told the cops that when they got home from work that morning, Liakhovych was sleeping on a chair.

He was close to the side door, which wasn’t locked at the time.

Liakhovych was caught and charged with being drunk in public and loitering and prowling at night.

He told the cops that he didn’t know how he got into the house but that he had been drinking at a bar earlier that night.
