Tacoma, WA: Gunshots were heard on two consecutive evenings over the weekend in a typically peaceful Tacoma neighborhood.
A teenager was shot inside his residence during a drive-by shooting on 32nd Street Northeast near 49th Ave Northeast, according to Tacoma police.
The teenager’s mother said that her kid was indoors eating a burger when gunshots penetrated their home. They sought shelter, but her son was struck in the chest and grazed on the leg and hip. Surprisingly, he was discharged from the hospital following treatment.
The victim’s family captured at least 10 gunshots in a Ring video during the initial incident on Saturday night at about 8 p.m. Gunshots are discharged from a dark vehicle parked on the street outside the victim’s residence.
The gunmen came again on Sunday at about 6:30 p.m. in a silver SUV. Another adolescent family member was outside when the SUV drove by, then turned around and passed the home again. Gunshots were heard for the second consecutive night. On this occasion, no one was struck.
Long-term residents in the neighborhood, including some who have lived there for two decades, claim that such an incident has never occurred before.
There have been no arrests, and the community is distressed after this incident. The motive of the shootings is also been investigated by the authorities.
