DJ Mister Cee Died from Diabetes-related Complications, Family Say

New York City, NY: Following the news that DJ Mister Cee had passed away on April 10, the hip-hop community plunged into a state of sorrow at the time. The reason for the death of the hip-hop legend has now been disclosed by his family.

DJ Mister Cee passed away as a result of complications associated with diabetes, specifically coronary artery disease and kidney illness, as stated in a report by the Medical Examiner of New York City.

The family also released a statement.

“On behalf of the Lebrun, Wilson, and Calixte families, we want to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support for our brother, uncle, and nephew Calvin “DJ Mister Cee” Lebrun in the wake of his untimely passing. It’s a huge loss for our entire family, the borough of Brooklyn and the entire Hip Hop Community…Details about the public funeral service will be announced shortly. We ask that you please respect the family’s privacy during this extremely difficult time. Thank you,” the family said in a written statement to the media outlet.

The hip-hop artist Calvin LeBrun, better known by his stage name Mister Cee, was a significant figure in the industry. He worked as a DJ for Big Daddy Kane and produced songs for Biggie Smalls, popularly known as the Notorious B.I.G. This individual was also known as Biggie Smalls.

He was 57 years old when he died.
