Disgusting Child Abuse Images Lead to Pretrial Detention in Multiple Cases

Last week, judges in DuPage County refused to grant pretrial releases for two individuals facing child pornography charges. Authorities have described the nature of these cases as deeply disturbing.

A 26-year-old individual from Warrenville, Jordan Erdakos, has been charged with serious offenses including reproducing or distributing child pornography, which is considered a Class X felony, as well as possession of child pornography. Authorities stated that he had a prior child pornography conviction in May 2024 and was currently on probation.

Joseph Gregoire, a 38-year-old resident of Oakbrook Terrace, has been arrested and charged with serious offenses related to child pornography.

“Each of these disgusting images and videos … some of which depict infants and toddlers, represent yet another innocent victim of child pornography.”

After receiving information about illegal activity, Warrenville police found “hundreds” of videos and images of child sexual abuse on Erdakos’ phone and took him into custody at his home Tuesday, prosecutors said.

On Wednesday, Lombard police conducted a search of Gregoire’s residence following a tip regarding the distribution of child pornography by an individual using the online alias “Kinkypigbottom.” Authorities discovered disturbing videos and images of child sexual abuse on various electronic devices, leading to the arrest of Gregoire.

Judge Leah Bendik denied pretrial release for Gregoire on Thursday, while Judge Angelo Kappas made a similar decision for Erdakos on Saturday.

Arraignments have been set for August 26th, with Judge Daniel Guerin presiding.
